Alternative Dispute Resolution

In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 144/2015, of September 8, Sweet Cotton Unipessoal LDA informs its clients that, in the event of disputes related to sales or service contracts, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) may be used, including mediation and arbitration.

1. Alternative Dispute Resolution Entities

In case of disputes, the consumer may resort to the following alternative dispute resolution entities:

  • Consumer Conflict Arbitration Center: For consumers residing in Portugal, the Consumer Conflict Arbitration Center is one of the competent entities for resolving disputes through arbitration or mediation.

  • European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform: Consumers can also use the European Union's ODR Platform, which facilitates online dispute resolution between consumers and businesses. The platform can be accessed via the following link: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

2. Objective of Alternative Dispute Resolution

Alternative Dispute Resolution offers a quick, effective, and less expensive solution than litigation, allowing the parties involved to reach an agreement without resorting to the courts.

3. Adherence to Alternative Dispute Resolution

Sweet Cotton Unipessoal LDA undertakes to make every effort to resolve any dispute amicably. However, if it is not possible to resolve the matter amicably, the customer may choose one of the aforementioned entities for dispute resolution.
